“I can sleep perfect!” ♥️
When Hurricane damage forced Dejah and her two daughters to relocate, they were left with nothing but mattresses on the floor. Thanks to a connection through The Salvation Army, we were able to step in and create Dream Rooms for her little girls—3-year-old My’onna got a Bluey-themed room and her big sister Dhazni (not pictured) received a princess set to come home to after school. Seeing their joy—especially when they opened their beaded play sets—was priceless. And the gratitude that was shown through this mother’s eyes was worth a million words.
But there are still so many more children in our city sleeping on the floor. For our May Adopt A Block Outreach, we’re on a mission to fund 50 Dream Rooms by May 31st. Each room is $400 and provides a bed frame and mattress, bedding, and a toy to remind a child they are loved and seen! Help us reach our $20,000 goal—let’s turn hurt into hope, one Dream Room at a time.
